Announcing the Local Author Collection
Have you published a book? Do you live in Berrien County? If you answered yes to both of those questions, consider donating your work to our new Local Authors Collection.
The Local Author Collection will endeavor to promote awareness of local talents and issues as well as the writing process as a whole. We are now seeking submissions for the collection. We will evaluate each work we receive and decide whether to include it in the collection, based on the following criteria:
- Whether it was written by a Berrien County author or has a Berrien County connection
- Suitability for circulation – should be professionally bound
- Originality
- Artistic presentation and quality
- Entertainment and/or educational value
- Appropriateness for intended age group
If we accept your work, it will be exposed to thousands of potential readers in Lincoln, Royalton, and Baroda townships.
If you’re interested, stop by the library and ask for a submission form. When submitting your work, please also include as much of the following as possible, in order to help us better evaluate your work:
- Author bio
- Reviews
- Awards
- Publicity materials
Contact Brian at (269) 429-9575 or at bjohnston@lincolnlib.org for more information or if you have questions about the Local Author Collection. We look forward to your submission!
