Lincoln Township Library greatly appreciates your patience and understanding during this time. Below are details of the library’s re-opening.

COVID-19 Policies

The following policies have been adopted by the LTPL Board in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Book Drop

Our exterior book drop is open 24/7 and our interior book drop is open during library hours, Monday – Thursday 10am – 9pm, Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm.

Please DO NOT make donations via the book drop. Please see below for information about how to make donations to the library.

No-Contact Curbside Service

LTPL offers a no-contact curbside service for patrons. This service is available by appointment during our open hours.

  • Patrons place holds by calling the library or emailing curbside @ lincolnlib.org.
  • Limit of 5 items per cardholder per day, one pickup per day.
  • Patron notification by phone when holds are ready. An appointment for pickup will be set at this time.
  • Pick-Up. Patrons will be asked to park in a designated location and remain in their vehicle when a staff member approaches to verify last name and last 4 digits of card number. Bagged holds will be placed on the bench (preferred), or in vehicle trunk/backseat. Patrons may retrieve items from bench when staff are safely back inside the building.

Please make all returns through the exterior book drop. Material returns cannot be accepted at the Curbside Service point.

Building Open with Precautionary Measures

[Updated as of Monday, July 22nd, 2021] Our building is currently open at full operational hours with the following measures in place:

Occupancy: Our library does not have a current capacity limit. We have ample space within our building for patrons to browse our stacks or study in our of our reading nooks. While we are no longer limiting capacity, we do encourage patrons to maintain appropriate social distance from others.

Protective Barriers: Plexiglass separators are installed at both service desks to protect both patrons and staff at interaction points.

Check Out: Patrons are asked to maintain social distancing practices when browsing for materials and waiting in line for check out at the service desk. Please make returns through the exterior and interior book drop. EXCEPTIONS: Explore Kits and Playaway Launchpads should be returned to our Circulation Desk as our automated book drops will NOT check these items in and could damage the packaging.

Computer Access & Copier: All of our computers, as well as copier and printer, are available for use without appointment.  If you need computer assistance and/or tech help, appointments can be made by calling our Circulation Desk at (269) 429-9575.

Programming: We are currently offering outdoor, in-person and virtual programming. As we plan for the future, we are exploring a mix of virtual and in-person programs to expand access to our events.

Meeting Rooms: Meeting room spaces can be reserved through our online portal HERE.

Donations: The Library is accepting material donations. Donations can be boxed or bagged. Friendly Reminder: while all kinds of materials are accepted for donation, we cannot accept magazines, Reader’s Digest condensed books, textbooks, encyclopedias over 3 years old, and any items with mold, mildew, or water damage. Thank you for your courtesy!

Patron Requirements

Face Coverings Encouraged: Masks are encouraged but not required for any individual who is fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated persons should remain masked at all times within the building. If you are unvaccinated and medically unable to wear a mask, you. may utilize our Curbside delivery service during our open hours.

Wellness Check: For the safety of other patrons and library staff, please refrain from visiting the library if you are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. Feel free to use this free symptom screening resource made available by Spectrum Health Lakeland.

Social Distancing: Patrons are asked to practice social distancing (from those not in their household) by remaining six feet away from others.

Clean Hands: Patrons are encouraged to practice good hygiene by sanitizing or washing their hands with soap and water after handling library materials.
