Exciting News: A New Library Catalog is Coming!
This March, Lincoln Township Public Library is making a big change—we’re switching to a brand-new catalog system, Simplicity! We’ve been working closely with Millonex for the past year to build the ultimate catalog experience, and now it’s finally ready.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this important upgrade. This transition to Simplicity is all about creating a better, more user-friendly experience for you. With a more intuitive catalog, streamlined account access, and improved notifications, managing your library materials will be easier than ever.
We know change can be an adjustment, and we’re here to help every step of the way. Thank you for being part of our library community, we can’t wait for you to enjoy all the benefits of our new system!
What You Need to Know
⚙️ Starting, March 26 – The library will be operating in both catalog systems during the transition, so please be patient as checkout times may be slightly longer.
📅 Friday, March 28 – The library will close at 5 PM, and all online catalog and account access will be temporarily unavailable. During this time, you will not be able to:
- Access your library account
- Check out digital books
- Use library databases
⚙️ Saturday, March 29 – The library will remain closed as Simplicity finalizes its setup behind the scenes.
📖 Monday, March 31 – We’ll reopen at 9 AM with Simplicity fully operational! You’ll be able to log in, manage your account, and use library services as usual.
What to Expect
As part of this transition, you’ll need to reverify your account information to ensure everything is up to date. This can be done online once Simplicity is live, or you can stop by the library, and we’ll update it for you.

With our new system, all notifications will be sent via email or text only—no more paper notices. It’s important to double-check that your contact information is accurate so you don’t miss any important updates about holds, due dates, or library news.
Database Users – You may experience a brief interruption in service. Once the update is complete, simply log in again to continue borrowing items.
